Honoring the Origins of the Flying Dress Concept
The flying dress concept itself did not start in Aruba.
Over a decade ago, Santorini Dress introduced the iconic flying dress experience in Greece, creating a visual style that quickly became recognised around the world. Their work was the original inspiration behind the movement. At the time, no one was offering anything like this in Aruba, which is what inspired me to bring the experience here in 2021. Flying Dress Aruba was the first to introduce this style of photoshoot on the island, adapting the concept to Aruba’s landscapes, light, and culture, and building a fully guided, confidence-focused experience designed specifically for women visiting Aruba.
Who started it in Aruba?
Flying Dress Aruba was established in 2021 and was the first company to introduce the flying dress experience on the island, long before it became a trend here. I spent almost a year before this researching everything I could find about flying dresses, building the brand, website, packages and perfecting the business concept before it was officially launched.
